Basic Fitting Guidelines for Custom Heater/Fan & HVAC Button Face Plates
TIP: Wearing latex or similar gloves will help to keep the face plates fingerprint free during installation. This is especially important for the brushed stainless finish as the fingerprints can be troublesome to remove later. If you do get finger prints on the face plates use a lint free soft cloth and your warm breath to remove.
First you will need to remove the interior dash panels and remove the HVAC unit (Google if unsure how, allow 30mins)
Prise off the heater control knobs - using two forks as levers if they don’t come off easily.
Peel off the old backing faces and remove any excess glue left behind with white spirits.
Remove the paper backing from the Custom Heater/Fan & HVAC Button Face Plates and stick it down onto the surface of the heater control box in the correct place. Press down firmly and keep pressure for 30 seconds. Once completed for all face plates you can re-install the HVAC unit.
Basic Fitting Guidelines for Stainless Steel Clock Faceplate
Clean clock face with white spirits - then remove the paper backing from face plate and stick it down onto the surface of the clock face. Press down firmly and keep pressure for 30secs.
Basic Fitting Guidelines for Vent face plates
There are 2 x pieces per side. The tri-vent piece and the small center arrow piece. First clean the area on the air vent that will contact with the face plates with isopropyl. Then peel off the backing from the face plate and apply in the correct position holding firmly for 30secs.
Basic Fitting Guidelines for Billet HVAC Dials
Simply push the billet dials firmly over the existing plastic dials.
On rare occasions due to slight variations in the factory plastic dials some may need a small amount of masking tape to be applied to the plastic dial before fitting the stainless dial to ensure a tight fit.
Basic Fitting Guidelines for Billet Cig lighter cap
Fit the new billet cigarette lighter cap over the plastic cigarette lighter end and using the supplied grub screws and allen key tighten until snug.
